The young archer has progressed in his archery skills and strength and is now ready to start bowhunting. The Venus (model # 2006) is a great bow to start the bow hunting experience with. The model # 2006 will range in draw weights of 25 to 55 lbs. at a draw length of 28 inches. The Venus series has a beautiful with the full reflex limb and deflexed riser in either a 58 or 60 inch longbow. The Venus series makes the ideal bow for turkey hunting out of a pop-up blind, or hunting from a tree stand and a great bow for bow fishing. The Venus (model # 2006) has the grip formed without the addition of overlays being added to provide a slim grip & more economical bow.

The Venus (model # 2008) is the same bow as the above described model # 2006, with one exception. The model # 2008 has a walnut/shedua overlay on the belly and back to allow the formation of a "new moon" grip.

The Venus Hunter has an all hardwood riser made from either Walnut or Shedua with a "Full Moon" grip. The reverse taper limb design, which was introduced by Buddy Stamper and Jim Ploen, increase limb proficiency for speed and eliminates hand shock for smoothness. The limbs of Red Elm laminations under clear Gordon Glass has reinforced tip overlays for the safe use of all the newer high performance string materials.
I would recommend the 58" length bow only for draw lengths less than 28". The 60" length bow is my recommendation for longer draw lengths for a smoother draw with less finger pinch.
