Force Draw Curve

The next Howard Hill is just waiting for someone to put a bow in his or her hand. Start them out write with a 21st Century Youth Longbow.  Archery is very beneficial in the development of hand eye coordination, depth perception, getting a feel for trajectory, and developing upper body strength. Since my youth bows are not toys and should be used with adult supervision, it will provide a great opportunity for adults to spend time with the young ones and pass on the joy of archery.

The Little Dipper bow has the draw weight marked on the bow at 18 inches of draw (example: 12# @ 18"). The weight will change about 1/2 to 1 pound per inch of draw. See force draw curve.

Suggested bow weights for children:
6 to 10 lbs for four to six year olds.
10 to 18 lbs for seven to ten year olds.

The young persons draw length is a measurement that is taken when the young archer draws the string to a location that places the nock of the arrow somewhere below the eye for aiming to the front of the bows arrow shelf.

The Little Dipper is not designed for new higher performance sting materials. The Little Dipper comes with a Dacron string.

Options:
    Double window and shelf  - $ 25.00
(allows left and right handed shooter to use same bow)
